It has taken me a little time to put it all together this year partly down to the amount of photos and the editing of the video footage that I took at the show. The video footage is now on Youtube. Videos of each of the other individual games are also available on Youtube. To see what is available, view
our Youtube channel. In future any other video footage of shows will also be found there.

My friend Paul Robinson from the Grimsby Club did his own show report with photos.

Photos of the individual games are available on my blog.

    Salute ‘08: Event Notes

    April 20th, 2008

First, I’d like to start this off with a disclaimer/apology. There was no way I could get round and talk to every manufacturer at the show in the time given, sorry to those that I missed or didn’t make this article.

Dead ahead from the main entrance were demo tables for Hell Dorado and Infinity, as my main gaming interests lie in fantasy and sci-fi “skirmish” games it looked like I was going to be in my element. Having never played I partook in a demo of Hell Dorado and I was pretty impressed with what I saw. The mechanics seemed interesting, the game played pretty quickly despite possessing a good amount of complexity and the resource management added an extra tactical element. Thanks to Rogue for putting up with my questions and guiding me through the game and to Carlos for showing me the green for the new version of the Voyageuse (even though he wouldn’t allow any photos), the detail on this figure seems to be incredible.
