Monday’s gone. Tuesday is upon us. The work week will hopefully go by quickly, as it’s a 3-day weekend coming up. Of course, I’m excited about any weekend, but a 3-day is just that much better. To help speed things along, I’m gonna be going with some gaming podcasts while I work on proofing rulebooks and writing some product sheets.
This week on the dial we’ve got: After Dragons Episode 01: Origin Stories and Such; Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 123: Trajan; Nerdherders Episode 26 (116): Teras and the Fantastic Fiction Faves; The Secret Cabal Episode 159: Lords of Hellas, Clank! and A Short Topic Extravaganza; The Cardboard Herald Episode 80: Sean Epperson of Thing 12 Games & Seals of Cthulhu; Blight and Boon Episode 8: Champion Power Rankings; Singled Out Episode 68: Vengeance 2018 Live Report; Epic Gaming Night Episode 155: The Epic Gaming Bracket!; Rolling Dice & Taking Names Episode 144: Crystal Clans, Rising 5, Raiders of the North Sea, Prowler’s Passage; The Rolistes Episode 28 (Part 1): Globe-Trotting, Roleplaying & Coffee Roasting with François (with also a Lone Wolf Manly Baby Shower); and News of the North – 2018-05-22.
Join Rob & Liam the hosts of After Dragons as they discuss the concept for the cast, plans for the future and a bit about their Tabletop RPG background.
The show plans to explore the ‘other’ RPGs out there on the edges of the tabletop gaming scene.
In this week’s episode:
1) The Pegs discuss their recent game plays including Empires of the Void II, Sprawlopolis, One Week Ultimate Werewolf, Remnants and many more;
2) Review the modern classic action selection game Trajan; and

Head Geek Teras Cassidy of Geek Nation Tours joins the Nerdherders to discuss their favorite fictional characters of all time! How many Star Wars characters will there be? What about comic books? Does Dave know Jason Statham is a real person? Find out! The boys also discuss their latest hobby endeavors in gaming and movies.
Episode 159 will from now on be referred to as “The Cursed Episode” as schedules, technical problems and other issues have cause more havoc than ever before BUT The Cabal rages forth none the less. Today the a look at Lords of Hellas from Awaken Realms and look back at Clank! from Renegade Games. Then After Tony T blasts out the best news segment in all of gaming media the Founders host another short topic extravaganza including discussions about using characters and actors in miniatures games seemingly without permission, our favorite fantasy, sci-fi and comic book series and how we like to learn and teach games. Then after the episode is over Jamie talks about the Kickstarter and what the plans are going forward for The Cabal.
Sean is no stranger to game production and design. With a long career in video game development and several kickstarter games under his belt, Sean’s company Thing 12 Games is bringing their most ambitious game yet, The Seals of Cthulhu. Sean and Jack talk about the problems with designing a Lovecraftian game, authenticity in social media, video game development, and how to describe the indescribable. The Seals of Cthulhu will be on kickstarter May 22nd.
Welcome to a podcast devoted to Godtear. In this podcast we hope to track the game through it’s development and share our thoughts with how the game is progressing through it’s playtest.

What we have been playing!?
(Roy) Gizmos, Thanos Rising, Dragon Castle
Episode 144 is a heavy game centric episode. We have gotten in plenty of games and with Episode 143 being about movies, we needed to make sure we talk about the games we played before we forgot what we had played. On top of the games, we also were visited by Bezier Games to demo their newest offerings. We sat down with Matt at our local game store Carolina Tabletop Games and he was patient with us while we did all we could to explore the new treasures he was putting on the table. We got the chance to play the expansion to Whistle Stop, which is still a favorite game of mine, the new social deduction/collection game Werebeast, One Week Ultimate Werewolf, which is on KS right now, and Werewords Deluxe, one of Marty’s favorites. Werebeast caught me off guard because I enjoy the hidden set collection type games and was pleasantly surprised how this game pulled it off. I am never keen on player elimination in a game, but for this game, it worked and after the first player was eliminated, the game soon came to an end, so there wasn’t much downtime and this was with a five player game.
There and back again…
People come and go in London and we are happy to have François, our coffee roasting “One Ring” lore master, back among us. He is back after many adventures including a travel around the world with Anais (another tabletop RPG fan we miss) as documented in their Nays & Fox Travel Journal.
Meanwhile, while Persephelia was having her baby shower, we banded together with Haqadosch, Simon & Carlos to engage in much more macho activity.
Haqadosch popped open his “Lone Wolf Adventure Game” boxset by Cubicle 7 and we took on the green mantle of three brave Kai Lords, Brightshield, Nightfox and Moonblade, on their first mission.
I personally apologise, to Joe Joe Dever and to the devoted fans of Lone Wold series, for what followed.
