Scorpion Masqué’s Dead Cells Board Game Surpasses Kickstarter Goal Tenfold With 15 Days to Go
Renowned tabletop game publisher Scorpion Masqué has taken Kickstarter by storm with their latest creation, “Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game.” Based on the highly popular video game, Dead Cells, the board game adaptation has already raised an impressive $371,819, far surpassing its initial funding goal of $37,108. With the enthusiasm of 4,105 backers and still 15 days left in the campaign, ending June 2, the project’s success is undeniable.
Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game is a cooperative experience designed to emulate the unpredictable and thrilling nature of the metroidvania genre. Players join forces to explore the ever-changing island of Dead Cells, navigating a treacherous dungeon crawler landscape filled with danger and discovery. The game’s mantra, “Explore. Kill. Die. Mutate. Repeat,” perfectly encapsulates the relentless cycle of adventure and rebirth at its core.
Drawing inspiration from the original Dead Cells video game, the board game interpretation promises to carry over the same level of ruthless intensity.
The game’s co-op focus invites players to work together, strategizing their moves and battling enemies to survive the island’s ruthless environment.
Potential backers still have until June 2 to pledge their support and secure a copy of Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game.
