The Pokémon Company International has released Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates, the latest expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This new addition is now available at participating retailers worldwide, including the online Pokémon Center.
Revival of Shiny Pokémon in the Latest Expansion
Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates, inspired by popular expansions such as Hidden Fates and Shining Fates, reintroduces Shiny Pokémon to the Pokémon TCG. This expansion includes a collection of over 130 Shiny Pokémon from the Paldea region, including fan favorites like Shiny Pikachu and Shiny Ceruledge. The expansion also introduces Shiny Tera Pokémon ex, featuring notable characters such as Charizard ex and Forretress ex, alongside Ancient and Future Pokémon ex.
Enhanced Artistry and Rarity
A highlight of this expansion is the introduction of full-art styles for select Shiny Pokémon, offering a fresh visual take on these characters. Additionally, some Pokémon ex will appear on hyper rare cards with a new raised foil effect, adding to the collectability and aesthetic appeal of the cards.
Digital Experience
Complementing the physical card game, Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates is also available digitally through the Pokémon TCG Live app. This platform offers an interactive way to collect and battle with Shiny Pokémon and includes new features like the Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates Battle Pass, which rewards players with new decks.
