New Edition of the Glorantha Sourcebook Now Available

Chaosium has announced the release of an updated edition of the RuneQuest: The Glorantha Sourcebook. This edition enriches the existing guide to the world of Glorantha, a setting developed by Greg Stafford and celebrated for its depth and complexity in the realm of fantasy gaming. The world of Glorantha has been a source of inspiration for many, including Ken Rolston, who highlighted its influence on his work in The Elder Scrolls series.

The sourcebook serves as an introductory journey into the world of Glorantha, linking seamlessly with the Guide to Glorantha and extending into the realms of player creativity. The updated edition brings together revised content from a range of previously hard-to-find sources. It features a refreshed design and cover art by Loïc Muzy, along with updated genealogy tables, new artwork, and maps, aiming to provide a richer experience of the Glorantha setting.

Unique to this sourcebook is its system-agnostic approach, offering a comprehensive exploration of the Glorantha world without tying the content to a specific game system. This flexibility allows players to adapt the setting to various gaming systems, inviting a broader audience to explore its richly imagined universe.

Critics have previously praised the Glorantha Sourcebook for its quality and accessibility, noting its role in introducing new fans to the Glorantha setting and its appeal to long-time followers. The previous edition received significant recognition, including a 2019 ENnie Award for Best Supplement.

The new edition of RuneQuest: The Glorantha Sourcebook is available for purchase on Chaosium’s website, with several buying options: a full-color hardcover edition (including a PDF) for $44.99, a special leatherette version for $90.00, and a PDF version for $22.99. It is also listed on DriveThruRPG for $22.99 and available through retail distribution.
