Minka Lesk Comes to Life: New Warhammer 40,000 Miniature Released
Minka Lesk, the plucky heroine from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, is making her way from the pages of Black Library novels to the tabletops of gamers with a new miniature model. The model, created by Games Workshop, features Minka in all her glory, armed with either a lasgun or bolt pistol and power sword, and two different head options including her trademark bandana.
Created by author Justin D Hill, Minka Lesk first appeared in the short story Battle for Hive Markgraaf and went on to star in the Cadian book series. Her story has been one of terrible trials, battling the Archenemy, watching countless comrades die, and witnessing Cadia itself crumble under attack. Despite it all, Sergeant Lesk has survived through grim determination and a touch of divine luck.
Fans of Minka Lesk’s story will be excited to know that a new novel, Shadow of the Eighth, featuring the Cadian 101st, has been released. The novel follows the Cadians as they search for a relic of the missing Cadian 8th on the frozen world of Telken’s Rest, part of the Chaos warlord Darkul-zar’s crumbling empire.
For those who want to catch up on Minka Lesk’s previous exploits, an omnibus collection called Minka Lesk: The Last Whiteshield, featuring all five of her previous stories, is also available.
The Minka Lesk miniature is a welcome addition to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, bringing to life one of the Imperium’s most memorable characters.
