Licensed Version of HMS Victory for Black Seas From Warlord Games
There’s a lot of licensed miniatures that have come across the page in the decade+ that I’ve been doing this job. I think this is the first historically-licensed miniature I’ve seen. That’s as may be, this is the licensed version of the HMS Victory for Black Seas from Warlord Games.
From the article:
Warlord Games is delighted to have signed a license with the National Museum of the Royal Navy for the Black Seas version of HMS Victory. Licensing is an important part of the NMRN’s fundraising campaign to restore HMS Victory and to fund research into our naval heritage.
Paul Sawyer, Warlord Games’ Head of Product Development and Design, had this to say. “As a company built on the foundations of thousands of years of military history we are delighted to be able to contribute to the maintenance of one of this country’s most treasured historical vessels. HMS Victory is a key part of our Black Seas game range and we are proud to be an official licensee and to be able to use the HMS Victory Logo on our packaging for this great ship”.
