Horrible Guild’s Railroad Tiles Now on Kickstarter – A New Tile Placement Game Inspired by Railroad Ink

Horrible Guild has introduced its latest game, Railroad Tiles, on Kickstarter, a tile placement and transportation network-building game for 1 to 4 players. While inspired by the popular Railroad Ink™ series, Railroad Tiles offers a distinct gameplay experience with added strategy and new mechanics.

In the game, players select tiles to build routes, place vehicles, and expand cities, aiming to create an interconnected network. Points are earned by growing cities and completing routes, but penalties occur for leaving open connections, making strategic planning essential.

Backers who support the campaign will receive the Kickstarter Special Edition of the game. This edition includes two exclusive sets of Objective tiles and premium silk screen-printed wooden pawns, which will not be available in the retail version. Additionally, all backers will receive a copy of the World Expansion, which features additional Objective tiles and special pawns. The expansion’s content will grow as more stretch goals are unlocked.

For those seeking an upgraded experience, the Collector’s Edition is available. This version allows for 5-player gameplay (an increase from the standard 4 players) and includes all components from the core game and eight expansions in one “big box.”

The Limited Edition offers something even more unique for collectors. In addition to the Collector’s Edition components, it includes a signed print of the cover art by designers Hjalmar Hach and Lorenzo Silva, and illustrator Marta Tranquilli, as well as a hand-drawn tile by Francesco De Benedittis. This edition is limited to only 200 copies, making it a rare option for enthusiasts.

The Kickstarter campaign for Railroad Tiles is running until October 10. The project has already surpassed its initial goal, with over $132,295 pledged by 1,126 backers.
