The image showcases "HitPoint" in a bold, stylized font with the tagline "Get More Out of Life" beneath it. A red and orange dragon design accents the text, reminiscent of a multi-purpose card game's mystical allure, all set against a striking black background.

The card game HitPoint, which merges the dynamics of trading card games with the storytelling aspects of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), has recently launched on Kickstarter. The game has successfully exceeded its funding goal, with $4,579 pledged of a $3,000 goal, and the campaign is set to conclude on May 5.

HitPoint introduces a gameplay system where players’ decks represent their health, with each card played potentially exhausting their character. This mechanism aims to keep gameplay quick and strategic. Additionally, the element of dice rolling introduces a layer of chance, affecting the performance of cards during play.

Developed by a mixed team of gaming enthusiasts and newcomers, HitPoint is designed to be approachable for a wide spectrum of players. The game emphasizes a balance between ease of play and depth of strategy, encouraging players to use creativity and strategic thinking to succeed.

The game encourages narrative exploration through its unique card system, with different zones for gameplay, including Deck Zone, Exhaust Zone, and Equipment Zones. Each zone serves a specific function, adding strategic depth to the game.

The game’s structure includes several phases such as the Prelude, Draw Chapter, Equip Chapter, and Action Chapter, guiding players through their turns. Characters are developed through four primary stats: Strength, Precision, Knowledge, and Charm, which influence their abilities and conflict resolution within the game.
