Fantasy Flight Games Announces Nightcrawler Hero Pack for Marvel Champions: The Card Game

Fantasy Flight Games has announced the addition of the Nightcrawler Hero Pack to “Marvel Champions: The Card Game.” This new expansion introduces Nightcrawler, a character known for his teleportation abilities and association with the X-Men, as a playable hero.

Nightcrawler, recognized for his distinct appearance and compassionate nature, brings a unique set of skills to the game, particularly with his teleportation powers which are central to his gameplay. The hero pack includes a pre-built Protection deck that allows players to utilize these abilities immediately after unboxing.

Included in the hero pack are fifteen signature cards that emphasize Nightcrawler’s teleportation skills. The Bamf! upgrade, a notable feature of the pack, enables Nightcrawler to defend against attacks without exhausting, and allows for strategic gameplay maneuvers through his Rapid Teleportation ability, where players can reclaim the Bamf! card from their discard pile for repeated use.

The expansion also introduces a modular encounter set featuring the Crazy Gang, a group that complicates gameplay with their disruptive When Revealed abilities. The Crazy Gang’s side scheme encourages them to re-enter the deck as encounter cards, continuously activating their abilities.

The Nightcrawler Hero Pack is set for release in September and is currently available for pre-order through local retailers or the Fantasy Flight Games webstore.
