Steamforged Games has introduced “Euthia: Cruel Frost,” the final installment in the Euthia trilogy, through an exclusive campaign on Kickstarter. The expansion promises an immersive experience for board game enthusiasts, expanding the game’s universe with new challenges and a story centered around a looming threat posed by a Spider Queen wielding forbidden ice magic.
Designed for 1-4 players, “Euthia: Cruel Frost” offers various modes including co-op, competitive, and solo play. The game enhances its dynamics with the Ice Claws module that introduces new frozen tiles to the game map, simulating ice storms that bring both hazards and opportunities to harness powerful ice magic.
The addition of new heroes and scenarios aims to enhance the game’s replayability and strategic depth. Players can also interact with the Ice Clans, guardians who provide knowledge and assistance in mastering the harsh conditions. The expansion includes new items and gear upgrades, incorporating four new gem types and armor upgrades that utilize elemental essences for strategic benefits.
As the Kickstarter campaign progresses, “Euthia: Cruel Frost” has already attracted significant attention, accumulating pledges of $318,680, far surpassing its initial goal of $62,652.
