Equinox Launches New Trading Card Game “Altered”

Equinox has officially launched “Altered,” a trading card game that integrates physical and digital elements, following a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised $6.7 million. The game was developed by Régis Bonnessée, known for his work on popular tabletop games.

“Altered” incorporates a unique gameplay style that combines strategy with exploration, deviating from traditional TCGs that focus primarily on combat. Players navigate a transformed world, uniting a Human hero with an Imaginary companion, driven by an event known as the Tumult. This game design aims to provide a dynamic, interactive experience through both solo and multiplayer modes.

The game features a system where cards are available in both physical and digital forms, allowing players to manage their collections via a Companion App. This app facilitates trading and enables players to print physical versions of digital cards. Booster packs and starter decks are priced at $/€3.99 and $/€14.99, respectively, containing cards of various rarities suited for different play styles.

Asmodee is the exclusive distributor for “Altered,” ensuring its availability in retail stores worldwide. The game is launched in five languages and is accessible in more than 2000 stores globally.
