Chaosium Inc. has announced that “Cults of RuneQuest: The Lightbringers,” will be available for purchase this August.
This volume is the second book in the new “Cults of RuneQuest” sourcebook series, which delves deeper into the rich lore of the RuneQuest TTRPG. The book serves as a comprehensive guide for players to the storm pantheon, allowing them to take their character creation and progression to entirely new heights.
“Cults of RuneQuest: The Lightbringers,” priced at $39.99, comprises 168 full-color pages and is presented in hardcover format. It was penned by renowned authors Greg Stafford and Jeff Richard, with the captivating cover and interior artwork produced by an ensemble of talented artists, including Loïc Muzy, Agathe Pitié, Katrin Dirim, Antonia Doncheva, Andrey Fetisov, Ossi Hiekkala, and Roman Kisyov.
This player-centric RuneQuest supplement introduces 19 different cults, each of which can form the foundation for a unique RuneQuest character. These cults offer a unique array of spells, skills, and special traits that add depth and diversity to player characters. Existing characters can also expand their affiliations by adopting new cults from this book, fostering further character development and growth.
In addition to providing a springboard for character creation and development, “Cults of RuneQuest: The Lightbringers” sheds light on the lore and history of the Lightbringer pantheon of gods.
