Relicblade: Cursebreaker Exceeds Kickstarter Goal, Introduces New Game Experience
The Kickstarter campaign for Relicblade: Cursebreaker, a new magical miniatures game from Metal King Studio, has successfully surpassed its funding goal. With a pledge total of $53,950, exceeding the initial goal of $35,000, the campaign has attracted 441 backers with 20 days remaining until its conclusion on March 26.
Cursebreaker is designed for 1-4 players and introduces an engaging world where players take on the roles of powerful magicians in the Shattered Lands. The primary aim of the Kickstarter is to support the publication of Cursebreaker and expand the Relicblade universe with two new factions.
The Kickstarter pledge includes several key components, such as the Cursebreaker Rulebook, a deluxe token set, a 16-card deck, and miniature sets for the Severed Hand and Guild Champions factions. These miniatures are made from white metal and are provided unassembled and unpainted, offering backers the opportunity to customize their game pieces.
Cursebreaker offers a distinct gameplay experience with a strategic magic system and an exciting dice mechanic. It allows for a new rule-set and gameplay experience, encouraging players to use their miniatures in novel ways. The game emphasizes strategic thinking and planning over luck, with a campaign system that adds depth to the narrative and gameplay.
Sean Sutter, the sole creator behind Metal King Studio, has developed Cursebreaker as a standalone game set in the Relicblade universe. His commitment to the game’s development, from design to illustration and sculpture, underscores the personalized touch that has characterized the Relicblade series.
