Portal Games recently announced their upcoming product releases for the Essen Spiel fair in October. The announcement includes the release of the “Desert Tribes” expansion for the board game Neuroshima Hex and a new edition of the game Resurgence.
The “Desert Tribes” expansion adds a new faction that excels in surviving the harsh wasteland of the Neuroshima universe. This expansion introduces game mechanics such as “Hide” and “Ambush,” aimed at enhancing strategic depth and gameplay unpredictability. Scheduled to premiere in Poland in September, the expansion will be available in English at the Essen Spiel fair for international attendees.
The new edition of Resurgence features a revised rulebook and new cover art. Set in a post-nuclear alternate 20th-century timeline, the game challenges players to collect resources, rescue survivors, and reconstruct society. This edition, designed by Stan Kordonskiy, includes modifications for improved game balance and accessibility, catering to both new and returning players. The new edition will debut at Essen Spiel and will subsequently be distributed to game stores worldwide.
