Popular Board Game Catapult Feud to Become Animated Series

Board game enthusiasts and animation fans alike are eagerly anticipating the upcoming animated television series, Catapult Feud. Vesuvius Media, the publisher of the critically acclaimed board game, is teaming up with animation studio Composition Media to bring the game to life on the small screen.

The series will be led by Carl Reed, co-founder of Lion Forge Animation and one of the producers of the Oscar-winning short Hair Love. Reed is excited to showcase the work of his talented team and break the mold of traditional animation. He believes that animation has limitless potential as a medium and wants to produce content that truly represents his audience.

Catapult Feud, the board game that inspired the animated series, has already proven to be a hit. It won the prestigious Australian Toy Association’s Game of the Year in 2022, as well as the Dice Tower (USA) and Imagination Gaming (UK) Seals of Approval. The game allows players to build their castles out of plastic bricks, place their troops, load the catapults, and use cunning tactics to knock down their opponents’ troops with rubber boulders. The game raised over $1 million USD through crowdfunding and is currently available in 27 languages and 29 countries worldwide.

The animated series follows two feuding families, the Cunningfields and the Chauforts, who use catapults and conspiracies to conquer each other and rule the Kingdom of Catapultia. Despite their parents’ inability to get along, the next generation of Cunningfields and Chauforts have a plan to bring peace to their warring families.
