The Pokémon Company International has just unveiled exciting news for fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). The latest expansion, titled “Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces,” is set to launch worldwide at participating retailers on March 22, 2024. This expansion brings a highly anticipated feature back to the forefront of the game: the ACE SPEC cards.
Originally debuting in the Black & White Series, ACE SPEC cards are renowned for their powerful effects. Making a grand return in the Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion, these cards will be limited to one per deck, adding an extra layer of strategy for players. Notably, the ACE SPEC cards in this new expansion will showcase a striking new magenta design and are available as both Trainer and Special Energy cards.
The “Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces” expansion also introduces new Pokémon, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, first seen in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. The expansion goes further, adding new Ancient and Future Pokémon and Trainer cards, as well as an array of type-shifted Tera Pokémon ex.

In a digital twist, trainers can get a head start on the tabletop experience with the Pokémon TCG Live app. The app, available for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows devices, will feature the Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion starting March 21, 2024.
