Moonstone Introduces Wave 1 of “Shades of Moonreach” Faction with Five New Sets
Moonstone has announced that the first wave of the “Shades of Moonreach” faction is now available for pre-order on their website, set to hit general sales on September 27th. This launch introduces five new boxsets and a two-player starter set.
Among the new offerings is the “Life and Death Struggle” Starter Set. This addition is tailored for newcomers, featuring miniatures from both the Shades and Leshavult factions, along with all the necessary playing components like cards, tokens, and dice.
The release features several unique characters spread across different sets. The “Never Ending Knights” includes characters like Knight Marshall Negroli who leads with honor and prowess, Greymair who offers an unusual twist to battlefield tactics, and Serif, a skeleton sharpshooter who excels in ranged attacks. The “Shady Bunch” introduces a mix of spirits and merfolk with abilities that enhance mobility and defense, while “Angerboda” adds a Norse giantess whose loyalty spans multiple factions, offering her formidable strength to any group that needs it.
“Freaky Fugday” focuses on the mysterious Psychopomps with characters who manipulate the battlefield by summoning and reanimating allies. Lastly, the “Charge of the Fright Brigade” includes a variety of Psychopomps.
Moonstone also suggests that those interested in the background of the new “Shades” faction consult “The Arising” expansion book, which provides a detailed narrative lead-up to these characters’ introduction.
