Looney Labs has released an expansion for the popular card game Chrononauts, titled “Chrononauts: The Rest of Row E,” which is set to be available on May 3rd. This expansion completes the fifth row of the game’s timeline and introduces additional gameplay elements.
Chrononauts combines artifact collection with the alteration of historical events, offering a unique gameplay experience since its debut in 2000. The new expansion marks the first update since “The Gore Years,” which was introduced sixteen years ago and extended the game’s timeline to 2008.
“The Rest of Row E” adds three new timeline cards to the game, bringing the timeline up to the year 2022 and increasing the total number of cards to 40. The expansion also features two patches, one Sway Voting Inverter, and four new Identities that are affected by the recent events included in the expansion.
This expansion enriches the game’s narrative by allowing players to engage with significant historical events and hypothetical scenarios including the election of Donald Trump, the Capitol Hill Insurrection, and the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. Players must manage paradoxes and make strategic decisions to alter historical outcomes to achieve victory.
