Free League Publishing has revealed their latest project, “Coriolis: The Great Dark,” a new science fiction roleplaying game. The game is set to launch on Kickstarter on March 19, offering players an opportunity to explore space, delve into ancient mysteries, and navigate the complex politics of powerful guilds at the edge of the known universe.
Drawing inspiration from historical polar expeditions, deep-sea diving adventures, and pulp archaeology, “Coriolis: The Great Dark” aims to bring a fresh perspective to sci-fi roleplaying. The game emphasizes exploration, mystery, and visual storytelling, promising a unique gaming experience.
The Kickstarter campaign will feature special incentives for early backers, including a bonus item for those who pledge towards physical rewards within the first 24 hours of the launch. Interested backers and retailers are encouraged to sign up on the pre-launch page to receive notifications when the campaign goes live.
“Coriolis: The Great Dark” is designed as a standalone game but also acts as a spiritual sequel to “Coriolis – The Third Horizon,” Free League’s debut sci-fi RPG, which received the Judges Spotlight Award at the ENNIE Awards 2017.
