Fantasy Flight Games Launches ‘From the Abyss’ Expansion for ‘Unfathomable’
Fantasy Flight Games has announced the release of the “From the Abyss” expansion for the board game Unfathomable. This expansion is now available for purchase at local retailers in the United States and through Fantasy Flight’s online web store.
The “From the Abyss” expansion adds new elements to the existing game of Unfathomable, where players navigate dangers aboard the SS Atlantica on its voyage to Boston. With the introduction of new monstrous threats from the Atlantic Ocean and increased environmental hazards, the gameplay experience is intensified. The expansion includes a doubled mythos deck that brings new challenges and variability to each session.
Players will receive additional resources in this expansion, such as eight new playable characters and ally cards, which can move independently around the ship to offer assistance. New prelude cards are included to modify the starting conditions of the game, enhancing the diversity and replayability of each playthrough. The addition of new skills, items, and boon cards also provides players with more strategies and ways to engage with the game.
