B.A. Games’ latest project, Forges of Ravenshire, has been making waves on Kickstarter, having raised over $26,000 from its initial $20,000 goal with 21 days left to go. The campaign will end on May 12th, and backers are eagerly anticipating the release of this exciting new game.

Forges of Ravenshire is a 1-4 player dice placement and engine building game where players compete for the title of Forgemaster in Ravenshire. In the game, players are tasked with running their own forge and workshops to fulfill contracts, gather resources, and craft wondrous items. The ultimate goal is to become the new Forgemaster of Ravenshire, replacing the missing one.

A board game layout inspired by Forges of Ravenshire features sections for cards, coins, and resources like ore and gems. The left has colored slots, while the right displays resource icons and storage spaces on a wooden background. Back it on Kickstarter to become a master Forgemaster!

The game is divided into four seasons, each consisting of three phases: Gathering, Production, and End of Season. During the Gathering phase, players send their workers to acquire resources such as wood, steel, and leather, or hire alchemists to transmute power materials like Embergems and Mithril. In the Production phase, players use their resources and workers to fulfill contracts, craft items, and sell their wares to merchants. The End of Season phase is a time for players to reflect on their progress and make plans for the next season.

A colorful board game scene unfolds, set against a rustic village backdrop reminiscent of the Forges of Ravenshire, complete with a river, buildings, and pathways. Various tokens and cards are arranged across numbered sections and a scoring track, inviting players to immerse in their Kickstarter adventure.

One unique aspect of the game is the title system. As players progress, they may earn themselves a distinguished title, such as Brightsmith or Artificer, each of which comes with benefits that can lead them to the ultimate goal of becoming the Forgemaster.
