Catilus Launches Kickstarter for “Periodic Table of Elementals,” a New D&D 5E Resource

Catilus, an artist and Dungeons & Dragons player, has recently initiated a Kickstarter campaign for “Periodic Table of Elementals.” This project, aimed at D&D 5E players, has already surpassed its funding goal, with $13,766 pledged of a $4,363 target, supported by 382 backers. The campaign is set to conclude on January 14, with 28 days left.

The “Periodic Table of Elementals” is Catilus’s third Kickstarter project and is his most extensive book to date. It introduces a concept of elementals based on all 118 chemical elements in the periodic table. Key features of the book include:

  • 118 Elementals with Illustrations: Each elemental corresponds to a chemical element, with unique abilities and mechanics inspired by actual chemistry.
  • Variety of Elemental Forms: The book includes elementals of different sizes and characteristics, ranging from small Hydrogen Elementals to large Uranium Elementals.
  • Lore and Mechanics: The book incorporates science-based lore for each elemental, alongside gameplay mechanics.
  • Additional Content: Included are familiar, steed, and summonable elementals, along with adventure hooks, optional rules, and various gameplay tools.
  • Artwork: The book features over 120 illustrations, each depicting a different elemental, created by Catilus.

The Kickstarter campaign offers multiple pledge tiers:

  1. Add-On Access: Backers get access to various discounted add-ons, including Catilus’s previous publications.
  2. Book PDF and Poster: A digital copy of the book and a printable poster featuring the periodic table with elementals.
  3. Print-On-Demand Book and PDFs: A code for obtaining a hardcover copy of the book and digital versions of the book and poster.
  4. Character Illustration Tier: This tier includes a personalized illustration of a backer’s character with an elemental.

Stretch goals for the campaign include Elemental Treasures and Alchemical Items, and an expansion called the “Island of Stability.” The campaign has already reached its first stretch goal, adding new items and tools to the book.
