Aeon Trespass: Odyssey’s Kickstarter Triumph: Over $2 Million Raised and Counting for Second Printing and New Content
“Aeon Trespass: Odyssey,” an epic 1-4 player campaign game, is once again making waves on Kickstarter, amassing over $2.25 million from more than 5,619 backers. This outstanding feat, achieved with 19 days remaining until the campaign ends on June 7, has far exceeded its initial funding goal of $54,200.
Developed by Into the Unknown, “Aeon Trespass: Odyssey” offers an immersive co-operative experience, blending adventures, base building, and intense tactical battles against colossal monsters. The game brings together elements inspired by video games like XCOM, Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, and the JRPG genre, in a grand mix with modern tabletop board games, akin to KDM or 7th Continent.
Set in an alternate version of Antiquity, the game’s narrative unfolds amidst a reality-shattering cataclysm that eliminates the Olympian gods and unveils the otherworldly Primordials. Players become Argonauts, tasked with fending off the darkness and restoring order.
The game is multifaceted, incorporating adventure, strategy, and battles. Each aspect of the game is interconnected, from managing resources and developing the base of operations onboard the ship, Argo, to creating new technologies and forging political alliances with the world’s factions. Players can also build new facilities, craft weapons and equipment, and tame, arm, and evolve Titans for battle against the fearsome Primordials.
The Kickstarter project promises three major campaigns within one box, offering over 200+ hours of unique game content. The creators stress the game’s deep narrative that presents players with challenging choices affecting the storyline and the game’s conclusion. Moreover, light legacy mechanics and alternative storyline branches ensure high replayability.
One of the standout features of “Aeon Trespass: Odyssey” is the Inverted Combat Paradigm system. This innovative system intensifies combat scenarios by empowering players and their enemies as they draw closer to death.
Backing the project grants access to the second printing of the game, along with all-new content. The creators promise to make the game bigger and better than ever, offering an experience that is shaping up to be one of the most memorable tabletop game releases of the year. The countdown to June 7 continues as fans worldwide eagerly await the completion of the campaign.
