Adventure College, a D&D 5e compatible student handbook set in a magicpunk world, is now on Kickstarter.
The Adventure College Student Handbook offers 4+ new playable races, 8+ custom character backgrounds, a magicpunk item catalogue, and a plethora of lore. The booklet is 22 pages at launch, but with backer requests and stretch goals, the final size of the product could double.
The Adventure College setting takes place in the college town of Vernadeut, where magic and artifice collide in a magicpunk society. The governing nation, Toferrin, organizes a Moonlight Patrol to guard interplanar portals. When malevolent spooks of Styx and cruel eccentrics of Arden give local militia the slip, when misspelled technomancy creates monstrous atrocities, and whenever rats invade tavern basements, adventurers rise to the occasion.
The purpose of the Kickstarter campaign is to cover the costs of business startup, software to format the Student Handbook for print publication, and giving something back to the artist for her contributions. Backers who pledge at the Teaching Assistant or higher tier will receive access to a beta version of the handbook and be invited to the Fiona Shade Stories discord server with exclusive access to a backers-only channel.
The Adventure College Student Handbook promises to be a unique addition to any D&D 5e campaign with its magicpunk setting and customizable character options.
