Achtung! Cthulhu fans are gearing up for an exciting new release this spring, with the launch of “The Serpent and the Sands,” a combined guide book for North Africa and a 10-part campaign against the nefarious Ophidians. This new release marks the start of the Season of the Snake, an alliterative celebration that promises plenty of freebies, live plays, and other exciting events for fans of the popular tabletop game.
The Season of the Snake officially kicked off on April 11th, with the release of “Our Lady of the Eternal Sapphire,” a new desert-themed Section M: Priority File by Pat McNally. This exciting adventure takes players on a dangerous excursion to an unholy monastery on the outskirts of Cairo. On April 25th, fans can look forward to the release of “Assault on Zuara 2,” another daring mission into enemy territory that promises plenty of thrills and spills.
Throughout the Season of the Snake, fans can also tune in to a special Let’s Play series from the team at SkyHammer Games. GM Meric Moir will be leading players through a six-part playthrough of the first Serpent and the Sands mission, “Dying to Meet You,” and providing plenty of tips and tricks for players who are new to the game.
Fans can also look forward to two special AMAs on Discord, where they’ll have the chance to put their burning questions to the Achtung! Cthulhu development team. The first AMA, on April 18th, will focus on the making of “The Serpent and the Sands” itself, while the second, on April 25th, will give players a sneak peek at what’s in store for the future of the series.
And if you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at designing your own Section M: Priority Mission, then now’s your chance. Achtung! Cthulhu is running a special competition for fans to create their own short scenario, complete with a map and adventure seeds. The best entries will not only win some exciting prizes but will also be published and given an official Achtung! Cthulhu release.
