WARPFORGE UNVEILS TYRANID FACTION AND ANNOUNCES UPCOMING CLOSED ALPHA
In a announcement for Warhammer 40,000 fans, the upcoming collectable digital card game, Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, has unveiled a thrilling new demo showcasing a brand new faction: the Leviathan Hive Fleet of the Tyranid. This glimpse into the terrifying might of the Tyranids will be exclusively available during Warhammer Skulls, the annual Games Workshop video games festival, running from May 25th to June 1st. As an additional incentive, participating in this demo will grant players preferential access to the upcoming closed alpha, set to start on June 8th.
Warpforge, set in the grim darkness of Games Workshop’s 41st Millennium, challenges players to command the grandest factions of the Galaxy in exhilarating and strategic card battles. This immersive new demo presents players the opportunity to control six unique factions, including the Leviathan Hive Fleet. But be warned, this offer is available only for the duration of the Warhammer Skulls festival.
Considered one of the most distinctive factions in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Tyranids are driven by an insatiable hunger, ceaselessly poised to devour all that crosses their path. This army of voracious aliens is determined to absorb all living matter, providing players with the ability to spawn new creatures and swarm their opponents. The unpredictable nature of the Tyranids is sure to keep adversaries constantly on edge.
Following the Skulls festival, a closed alpha phase will commence on June 8th. This exclusive period will allow a select group of players to test the game before its full release, offering invaluable feedback to the development team. Warpforge will extend a limited number of daily invites to those who pre-register through their website, prioritizing players who partake in the Skulls demo. While the progress made during this alpha period will not transition to the fully released game, all participants will receive an exclusive commemorative card back as a token of their contributions.
Slated for release in 2023 on Steam, Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge is set to expand its availability to other platforms, including a mobile version with full cross-platform support. Those keen to stay up-to-date with the game’s development can wishlist the game on Steam, join the Discord channel, or sign up to the mailing list. Don’t miss out on your chance to delve into this captivating universe and command the might of the Galaxy’s greatest factions.
