Middle-earth fans, get ready to embark on a new adventure as The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying for 5E is set to be released on May 9. The 236-page hardback volume, created by Free League Publishing, contains everything players need to create their own adventures set in the beloved fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings™.

The book includes six heroic cultures from the land of Eriador, six new classes, a variety of adversaries, and comprehensive rules for journeys, councils, wondrous artifacts, and the subtle magic of Middle-earth. The stunning design and illustrations of the book are sure to transport players into the heart of Tolkien’s world.

In addition to The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying, the Shire™ Adventures is a 104-page hardback volume that provides a detailed description of the Shire, along with five short adventures and seven pre-generated characters, including famous Bagginses, Tooks, and Brandybucks.

To help guide players through their Middle-earth adventures, a Loremaster’s Screen with a compendium about Rivendell is also available, complete with a map of the valley and a plan of the house itself.

The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying is a 5E adaptation of the award-winning second edition of The One Ring™ RPG, designed by Francesco Nepitello and Marco Maggi. The new edition of The One Ring™ RPG became the most successful tabletop roleplaying core game ever on Kickstarter in March 2021.
