Osprey Publishing Announces “Line of Fire: Burnt Moon” – A Two-Player Deck-Building Game
Osprey Games has announced the upcoming release of their new two-player deck-building card game, Line of Fire: Burnt Moon, which is scheduled to launch in June 2025. This game combines elements of deck-building with lane-battling mechanics, set on the volcanic surface of Io.
Line of Fire: Burnt Moon is designed by David Thompson and Trevor Benjamin, known for their work on the Undaunted series. According to Thompson, while the game builds on some elements of Undaunted, it also introduces new gameplay features. He also mentioned that the game continues the storyline from Undaunted 2200: Callisto and is visually enhanced by the artwork of Léonard Dupond.
The game’s setting centers around a conflict between two factions: POSIWID, a group of hackers aiming to take control of Io and hold the Jovian power grid for ransom, and the LFA, a corporate entity defending its energy facilities. Players will control fleets of remotely operated robots (ROVs) as they engage in tactical combat across the hazardous lunar landscape.
