Modiphius Entertainment Announces Kickstarter Launch for New Discworld RPG

Modiphius Entertainment has announced it will launch a Kickstarter campaign for a new roleplaying game based on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. The campaign for Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork is set to begin on October 15.

This project marks the first new Discworld RPG in more than twenty years, following a previous release in 1998 by Steve Jackson Games, which utilized the GURPS system. Modiphius has acquired the rights to create the game after reaching an agreement with the estate of the late Sir Terry Pratchett, aiming to faithfully represent the satirical and imaginative world of Discworld.

The game will coincide with the 40th anniversary of Pratchett’s first Discworld novel, The Colour of Magic. Interested fans can sign up to receive notifications about the Kickstarter’s launch. Additionally, members of the Modiphius Discworld mailing list will gain early access to the Quickstart rules, receiving them 24 hours before their general release later this month.
