MechWarriors, rejoice! The BattleMech Recognition Guide: ilClan series has come to a successful close, with the release of its final volume, ilClan, Vol. 32. The series, which started in June 2020, has been a best-selling addition to the BattleTech line, updating Classic ‘Mechs and launching all-new designs while providing a steady stream of new content for the line.

Product developer Johannes Heidler expressed his reflections on this journey, stating that the success of the series was contingent on the expanded format for the “true Classics” or what was once called the “Unseen.” The project scope took shape based on the definition of various groups of ‘Mechs, including true Classics, Clan Classics, OmniMechs, and the rest, incorporating new machines that pushed the boundaries of what BattleTech has seen.

The BattleMech Recognition Guide: ilClan, Vol. 32 includes brand-new BattleMechs and OmniMechs, alongside Classic ’Mechs and combat vehicles from both the Inner Sphere and the Clans rebuilt with the latest technology to keep them competitive on modern battlefields. The series also includes in-universe development notes, battle histories, notable pilots, and record sheets for each unit. The PDF is available for purchase at $3.99 on the Catalyst Web Store and DriveThruRPG.

For those waiting for the print compilations, the first volume in the series detailing the new variants of Classic ‘Mechs is nearing completion and will be available soon.

In other news, the survey form for game stores and other venues interested in hosting a BattleTech: Mercenaries Kickstarter launch party is now available. The form is intended for completion by store owners or their designated representatives. Interested parties should provide ownership or management with the link above to be considered.

The BattleTech franchise has been a beloved science fiction game since its introduction in 1984. The latest releases and updates, including the BattleMech Recognition Guide: ilClan series, continue to delight and engage MechWarriors old and new.
