The Defiler Nercomancer’s evil influence grows towards the Beacon’s Zone, and if the Corruption reaches the Beacon, the game is lost.
To fight against these new threats, the players have the help of Guards, special non-player characters that represent Wintergrad’s resistance force. The Guards can be commanded by the players to control key crossroads, gather in a single battle unit, or even pour Cauldrons to repel zombies. The Guards add a new layer of strategy and tactics to the game, making it even more exciting and challenging.
The game’s new characters and specific mechanics required the creation of the Abomination and Necromancer decks, which allow for greater flexibility in tailoring the game without hindering the main Zombie deck.
