World Anvil Publishing’s Dark RPG “Broken Tales” Returns to Kickstarter with New Expansion: Lost Stories

World Anvil Publishing’s hit tabletop RPG “Broken Tales” has made a grand return to Kickstarter with a fresh expansion, “Broken Tales: Lost Stories”. The campaign, still with 19 days remaining, has already surpassed the initial funding goal of $5,384, with $39,431 pledged so far. This show of support echoes the excitement surrounding the dark horror RPG’s previous successful campaigns in 2021 for the Core Book and its first expansion, “The Broken Ones”.

The success of “Broken Tales” hinges on its innovative storytelling, reimagining classic fairy tale villains as positive forces of change in a broken, 18th-century version of Europe. The new expansion “Lost Stories” promises more of the same thrilling, upside-down tales that fans have come to expect. It also signals a continuation of the game’s commitment to high-quality production, with the book featuring a full-color, sewn-bound design complete with a laminated hardcover, a glossy logo, and a black silk ribbon.

The “Lost Stories” expansion includes a variety of new gameplay features that broaden the scope of the “Broken Tales” world. Players can expect to encounter new playable hunters, super-villains known as The Nemeses, and novel scenarios based on popular fairy tales. The expansion also introduces a new location, Rome, the City of the Order, rich in NPCs and story hooks.

Additionally, the expansion includes new dark presences and treasures, along with pre-made encounters and events that can be seamlessly integrated into campaigns. Depending on the success of the Kickstarter campaign and unlocked Stretch Goals, the page count of “Lost Stories” might rival that of the massive Core Book.

The Kickstarter campaign for “Broken Tales: Lost Stories” is set to conclude on June 21, giving both new and returning fans the opportunity to partake in this dark and exciting adventure.
