Res Nova Games is bringing back the classic tabletop miniatures game, Warzone, with a new version called Warzone Eternal. Set in the techno-fantasy Mutant Chronicles universe, the game features five powerful megacorporations, including Bauhaus, Capitol, Cybertronic, Imperial, and Mishima, who are in constant conflict over power and territory. The game also features the extra-dimensional forces of the Dark Legion led by Algeroth, the Apostle of War, who poses a great threat to all of humanity.
With only 30 days left to back the game, the campaign has already hit its initial funding goal, and Res Nova Games has several stretch goals planned to enhance gameplay, expand the narrative and add more model options. The game features fast and engaging gameplay, played on a 3×3-foot table with forces of 10-20 models. Each game turn consists of players alternating activations of the units in their force, with each unit able to perform a number of different actions during their activation.
In addition, Warzone Eternal introduces a reaction system that offers players a limited range of actions that can be performed in response to the actions of their opponent. This results in a constantly engaging game where no player sits idle awaiting the completion of another player’s turn. The game also has a broad assortment of special abilities and a variety of weaponry to represent the iconic armaments of the Mutant Chronicles universe.
The campaign offers a Faction Starter Box for each of the five megacorporations and the Brotherhood, each containing models from three iconic troop types for that faction. Algeroth, Dark Legion Apostle of War, also launches with a Faction Starter Box and a single Faction Expansion Box from which players can build their force.
With the help of backers, Warzone Eternal brings the classic game back to life and helps Res Nova Games explore the many exciting opportunities for battles in the Mutant Chronicles universe. Fans of the classic game will surely be excited to get their hands on the new version and engage in the constant covert, or not so covert, fight for supremacy amongst the megacorporations or the never-ending battle against the darkness to preserve humanity.
