Warhammer Fan Auctions Off Extensive Vintage Collection on eBay for a Hefty $63,000

A monumental collection of vintage Warhammer kits is currently up for grabs on eBay, with a whopping price tag of $63,000. The impressive stash of miniatures belongs to a fan named Jamie Hutber, who owns about 1,400 sealed out-of-print Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k kits.

Despite the sizable asking price, Hutber has estimated that the treasure trove of mint condition, still-in-the-box Warhammer items could be worth up to $100,000 (£80,000) based on recent eBay sold prices.

The vast collection features a mix of sought-after pieces from various Warhammer editions. Included are Space Marine devastators from the classic Rogue Trader era, sealed starter sets for the Ork-centric GorkaMorka, Necromunda, Mordheim, Battle Masters, and the third edition of the fantasy-themed board game, Talisman. The assortment also extends to include Space Crusade, the Lord of the Rings spin-off Battle of Five Armies, and a plethora of army sets for both Warhammer 40k factions and Warhammer armies across different editions.

In a YouTube video, Hutber explained the motivation behind this substantial sell-off. Trading these kits via his webstore oopminiatures.com came out of necessity due to the lack of space in his home for storing such an expansive collection.

This substantial listing on eBay marks a unique opportunity for Warhammer enthusiasts to acquire vintage kits, many of which are no longer in production. The auction not only caters to collectors seeking to expand their holdings but also to Warhammer fans looking to get their hands on a piece of the game’s storied history.
