The official tabletop adaptation of the Viking survival game Valheim has launched its crowdfunding campaign on Gamefound. Developed by MOOD Publishing and designed by Ole Steiness, known for his work on the Deep Rock Galactic board game, this version of Valheim offers a cooperative experience for 1-4 players.

Announced today on October 1st, Coffee Stain Publishing and Iron Gate Studio have collaborated with MOOD Publishing to bring this tabletop game to life. Players will explore the tenth Norse realm, working together to survive challenges, face powerful enemies, and progress through the game, all while aiming to gain Odin’s favor.

The Valheim board game features the first four biomes from the video game—The Meadows, Black Forest, Swamps, and Mountains. Players will need to craft weapons and tools and build a homestead to survive the environment and improve their chances against the threats they encounter.

The campaign also offers a range of miniatures, including biome bosses, Viking characters, and a boat miniature, which is available as a bonus for early backers. Additional tiered rewards and add-ons are available, depending on the level of support from backers.
