Steve Jackson Games has announced its robust 2024 schedule, packed with new releases and highly anticipated updates. The announcement, made by CEO Meredith Placko at PAX Unplugged, highlights a year full of new games, expansions, and special editions set to delight fans worldwide.

Key Highlights of the 2024 Lineup:

  • Groo: The Game and Tabloids: These new titles are poised to offer fresh and engaging experiences for players.
  • Car Wars: The introduction of a new 2-player set is designed to attract newcomers while updating features for veteran players.
  • Munchkin: This flagship franchise will see several expansions, including the humorous “Munchkin Snakes” and the innovative “Munchkin Shadowrun.”
  • Munchkin Big Box: Perhaps the most exciting reveal is the collector’s edition Munchkin Big Box, set to include 50 all-new cards by John Kovalic, memorabilia, and a large box to house a Munchkin collection.

2024 Release Calendar:

  • January: Launch of “Groo: The Game” and “Munchkin Snakes.”
  • February: Introduction of “Tabloids” and the “Munchkin Shadowrun Kickstarter.”
  • March to December: A series of releases including “Frag,” “Car Wars Expansion Packs,” “Munchkin: The Floor Is Larva,” and much more.

In addition to these titles, Steve Jackson Games will also roll out several Kickstarter campaigns for various projects, such as “The Fantasy Trip Hexagram #12” and “Munchkin Big Box,” ensuring that fans have plenty to look forward to throughout the year.

Support for GURPS Continues:

The company reaffirms its commitment to the GURPS (Generic Universal RolePlaying System) series, planning to release several new titles in PDF format. These include “Dungeon Fantasy RPG: The Devil’s Workshop,” “GURPS Infinite Worlds: Atlantropa,” and “GURPS Monster Hunters Adventure: The Face of Fire,” among others.
