Infinite Black Announces New Adventure Series for NOCTURNUS RPG: Journey to the Tree of Sorrows

Infinite Black has announced its upcoming project, an adventure series titled “Journey to the Tree of Sorrows,” for the NOCTURNUS role-playing game. Coinciding with a celestial event, an eclipse, the company has teased the introduction of a darker, ancient presence in the game’s universe, symbolized by the Tree of Sorrows. This new venture is aimed at expanding the game’s dark age setting with themes of cosmic horror and exploration into unknown territories of evil.

Scheduled for a Kickstarter launch in the fall of 2024, “Journey to the Tree of Sorrows” promises to offer NOCTURNUS players a deep dive into a realm filled with cosmic terror. This marks the first time Infinite Black delves into what it describes as an “Eldritch Mythos” adventure series, designed to challenge players by exposing them to the darker roots of the game’s universe and the abominations that lurk within.

The announcement highlights the adventure series as an exploration of “lightless spaces concealed by shadow,” where players will encounter the fundamental sources of evil in a setting that emphasizes the vast, terrifying realities beyond human understanding. Infinite Black’s presentation of this upcoming series emphasizes the depth of narrative and the rich, thematic elements that aim to engage players in a compelling story of darkness and discovery.

By undertaking the “Journey to the Tree of Sorrows,” players will be invited to confront and illuminate the darkest corners of the NOCTURNUS universe. The campaign seeks to reward the patience of Infinite Black’s audience with a meticulously crafted dark opus, promising an immersive role-playing experience filled with horror and mystery.
