From the article:

New weapons are coming for your Adeptus Titanicus god-machines, in the form of devastating Martian heat rays. Prepare to add volkite weapons to your Titanic arsenal.

What Are Volkite Weapons?

The Great Crusade was a time of technological innovation. The Tech-Priests of Mars crafted all manner of mechanical marvels for the Imperium’s expeditionary fleets as they set out to unite the galaxy.

Of course, the forces of the Great Crusade were first and foremost conquering armies, and so the greatest effort was put into weapons of war. Volkite weapons were perhaps the most devastating of these.

In simple terms, volkite weapons are heat rays. They fire beams of energy that set unprotected targets – like squishy humans – on fire. When scaled up to Titan size, they are terrifyingly effective at taking down void shields, as they superheat the protective energy barriers and pop them out of existence.
