Draw 20: A Card-Based D20 Alternative for RPGs – On Kickstarter Now
Draw 20 introduces a card-based alternative to the traditional D20 die, designed to work with any D20 system, including D&D 5e, for skill checks, attacks, saving throws, and more. Instead of rolling, players shuffle the deck and draw a card, each numbered from 1 to 20. Every card features unique artwork to visually capture the outcome, from critical hits to low rolls.
The Kickstarter offers two deck options: the Founder’s Deck, with themes from the Elven Grove and Wizard’s Tower, where each draw represents a potential outcome tied to these settings. The new Crime & Punishment Character Deck portrays the journeys of a Rogue and a Paladin, visually progressing from early stages to higher levels.
Draw 20 emphasizes community involvement, with players voting on future decks and featuring artwork from community artists. Illustrator Tamara Osborn designed the Crime & Punishment deck, contributing fantasy-themed visuals that support gameplay immersion. Future decks will continue to feature artists with distinct styles aligned with the RPG genre.
Draw 20 is live on Kickstarter until November 29.
