Chaosium Inc. Announces the Launch of ‘Cults of RuneQuest: The Prosopaedia’
Leading game publisher, Chaosium Inc., revealed that the eagerly awaited new sourcebook ‘Cults of RuneQuest: The Prosopaedia’ is set to hit the shelves on July 13th, 2023. This hardcover edition, priced at $37.99, is a 152-page, full-colour book that dives deep into the mythology that defines the universe of RuneQuest, the popular tabletop role-playing game.
Authored by esteemed game designers Greg Stafford, Jeff Richard, and Sandy Petersen, ‘Cults of RuneQuest: The Prosopaedia’ is the first in the brand-new Cults of RuneQuest series. The book is a comprehensive reference to the gods and goddesses, monsters, locations, artifacts, and events that have shaped the game’s world since its inception.
The cover and interior art, brought to life by Katrin Dirim, vividly depicts the diverse entities and complex narrative that players encounter in the game, further enriching the reader’s experience.
As an encyclopedia to the gods of the fantasy world of Glorantha, the new release will be an invaluable resource for both veteran players and newcomers alike. New players will appreciate the easy-to-follow and evocative description of the pantheons of Glorantha, providing them with a deep understanding of the game’s vast mythology.
Collectors of the RuneQuest series are sure to view this book as an essential companion to other volumes in the line, and will appreciate its stand-alone value that sets it apart from regular game manuals.
An interesting point to note is that the book does not contain rules mechanics, making it accessible to a broader audience. It will appeal to those with an interest in creative mythology, or those looking to introduce established pantheons of gods into their existing role-playing campaigns.
