Castle Ravenloft Board Game Returns in 2027 – With a Pre-Painted Premium Edition

Renegade Game Studios is resurrecting the classic Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft board game, originally released back in 2010. The cooperative dungeon-crawler hits shelves again this February 2027, and for the first time ever, it’s getting a Premium Edition with pre-painted miniatures.

Long out of print and tough to track down, the game lets 1–5 players explore the deadly depths beneath Castle Ravenloft, battle monsters, dodge traps, grab treasure, and ultimately face off against Strahd himself. Each quest runs about an hour, and the D&D Adventure System keeps things easy to learn but endlessly replayable.

Two versions are on the way:

  • Standard Edition ($100) – Updated artwork and graphic design in line with modern D&D, but with unpainted minis.
  • Premium Edition ($200) – Same updated look, but with beautifully pre-painted miniatures ready to hit the table out of the box.

Both editions feature the same gameplay that made the original a modern classic—just with a fresh coat of paint (or, in the Premium’s case, a fresh coat of paint on the minis).
