Asmodee Reveals All-New Cobra Kai Board Game
The world of martial arts is about to take over tabletops! Asmodee, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, has unveiled its brand new board game themed around the acclaimed series – Cobra Kai. Fans eager to step into the dojo won’t have long to wait, as the game hits Walmart shelves in the US on August 1, with a global rollout planned for later this year.
The Cobra Kai board game promises a thrilling experience for two to four players, where each dons the hat of a Sensei, preparing their students for the ultimate karate showdown. Gameplay unfolds across dual-phase rounds. Senseis first train their students, honing their skills for the battles ahead. Next, they enter the fray at the All-Valley Karate Tournament, with victory being the ultimate aim. Only the student who emerges victorious in the finals earns their Sensei the coveted title of champion.
The board game aims to capture the essence of the popular Cobra Kai series, which is a product of Sony Pictures Television in collaboration with Westbrook Entertainment. The intricate dynamics of training and competition are brought to life, allowing fans to engage with their favorite series in an entirely new dimension.
Julien Sharp, the General Manager of Asmodee USA, expressed his enthusiasm about this promising launch. “It’s a rare treat when the core gameplay resonates so seamlessly with a beloved entertainment franchise. Cobra Kai is a testament to this serendipity. The alignment of themes and mechanics ensures an immersive and enjoyable gaming experience.”
