Ascension Tactics Inferno, the standalone expansion to the critically acclaimed Ascension Tactics game, has made headlines after being funded in just four minutes on Kickstarter.

Ascension Tactics was celebrated for combining the best of tactical miniatures games with the fast-paced strategy of deck-building games. The game brought to life the most iconic characters from the award-winning deck-building game as highly-detailed paintable 3D miniatures.

The universe of Ascension Tactics is expanding once again with Ascension Tactics Inferno, which promises to bring more than 50 new miniatures, new gameplay mechanics and rules, a new faction called The Fallen and new dual faction champions.

According to the game’s Kickstarter page, The Fallen is a faction of powerful angels who have fallen from grace and now seek to dominate the battlefield. The new dual faction champions allow players to choose between two different factions when building their decks, adding a new layer of strategy to the game.

The game’s Kickstarter campaign has already surpassed its funding goal, which means that backers will be receiving the game when it is released. The campaign still has several weeks left, so there is still time for backers to pledge and receive exclusive rewards, such as limited edition miniatures and alternate art cards.

Ascension Tactics Inferno is being developed by Stone Blade Entertainment. The game is set to be released in 2023, and backers of the Kickstarter campaign will be the first to receive the game.
