Archon Studio Announces Master of Orion: Ad Astra Board Game Based on the Iconic Game Master of Orion

Archon Studio has announced the upcoming release of Master of Orion: Ad Astra, a 4X strategy board game based on the well-known Master of Orion PC series.

The game is set to offer players the chance to control one of six races as they explore space, colonize planets, and develop technologies in pursuit of galactic dominance. The game is designed for 1-4 players and includes a solo mode.

The core game will feature more than 280 plastic models, providing a visually detailed experience. Jason Matthews, creator of Twilight Struggle, is serving as a consultant on the project, bringing his experience with strategy games to the development process.

The Gamefound crowdfunding campaign for Master of Orion: Ad Astra is scheduled to begin in January 2025. Backers will be able to use Stretch Pay to spread the cost across seven payments. Production is planned to take place in Poland.

Those interested can follow the campaign in advance to receive a Master of Orion-themed dice tray.
