Corvus Belli Announces Black Friday Sale

Three days hence, we will have our most-darkest of days. That which is called, “Black Friday.” I don’t know why I’m talking like Thor from Texts from Superheroes, considering we’re here to talk about Corvus Belli, but there we are, then. They have posted up a graphic showing what special deals you’ll be able to get on this one-day-only sale.

Monday Terrain Corner

This is gonna be a pretty short week for me. It’s like it’s already Wednesday, in a way, since there’s only 2 more days after this to the weekend. But it’s not actually Wednesday. It’s Monday. As such, that means my Robin Hood/Star Wars shirt and a Terrain Corner, rather than my Ministry of Silly Walks shirt and a Snippets.

Today in the Terrain Corner we’ve got: New Wizard Tower and Holiday Sale Happening At Tabletop World, 4Ground Holiday Sale Happening Now, Heroic Maps – Terrain: Nebula Star Field Now Available, New Ruined Homestead Available From Micro Art Studio, and Heroic Maps – Port Fanchone Now Available.

New Beyond the Gates of Antares Releases Available From Warlord Games

The Ghar might be diminutive on their own, but they compensate on the battlefield by making exoskeletons and walkers that they pilot into battle. November Dark Age Releases Now Available

CMON has posted up the latest Dark Age releases. And my favorite faction is front and center. What can I say? I’m a polar bear and they have a lot of Ice Caste stuff. So that’s how things are. New Necromunda, 40k Releases Available To Order From Forge World

It was kinda hard to decide which of these two I wanted to feature. On one hand, you’ve got Necromunda, which I know has been a fan favorite for quite some time and is about to hit gaming tables again. On the other, you’ve got a superheavy tank, which is just below giant robots on my own personal scale of “cool.” But I went with the new Necromunda figure. But really, the tank looks pretty awesome, too (IMO).

Thursday Terrain Corner

We’re one week from Thanksgiving, my absolute most-favorite-est day of the year.
… And I have a metric-****-ton of things to do before we get there! O,o
My metaphorical work plate is piled higher than my actual plate will be next week at this time. So while I chew through this mass of projects, take a look at these new terrain articles that’ll make your gaming table as pretty as your dinner table in a week.

Anvil Eight Previews Trojan Artwork For Aetherium

Aetherium takes place in the digital world of a cyberscape filled with programs. And, like most of us know, there’s malevolent programs out there wanting to just gobble up your normal programs and make your computer melt. In the game, those are the Rhommox. In this preview, we get a look at the artwork for a Trojan. I think we’re gonna need a bigger horse.

Two of those will be the Draconians and the Vervoids, both of which you can pick up now.

Fantasy Flight Games Previews the Phantom II For X-Wing

The Phantom II, as a fighter… is lame. That’s just the nature of it. It’s not a fighter craft, it’s a shuttle. You’re not going to be getting a lot of kills with it. And that’s ok. That’s not what it’s in your squadron for. What it’s there for is the new Coordinate Action that it adds.

Monday Terrain Corner

The Monday after a long weekend… I mean, I know many of you out there love what you do for a living (as I certainly do), but there’s always just a bit of “erf…” about the Monday after a long weekend. An extra smack of the snooze button. An extra long shower. An extra cup of coffee. You know how it goes. Eventually, we’ll make it back around to the weekend. But, in the meantime, let’s make sure that when we do get to game again, we’ll have some good-looking gaming tables.

New Tau Tiger Shark Available to Order From Forge World

It wouldn’t be Games Workshop if there weren’t multiple versions of vehicles and units. In this case, you’ve previously had the Tau Tiger Shark AX-1-0, but you’ve not had the “standard issue” Tiger Shark. Well, that’s what you’re getting this week (like getting the Special Theory of Relativity before you get the General Theory of Relativity… actually, it’s nothing like that, I just wanted to type out Relativity). If you want a Tau Tiger Shark, you can put your order in now.

Thursday Terrain Corner

It’s Thursday, but it also kinda feels like a Friday. Reason being that tomorrow’s posts will be made from home in the morning before taking the rest of the day off. So I’ve got that going for me. Hopefully gonna help a friend put together some Guild Ball models and just hang out. Might even put some paint on my own teams. Haven’t figured it all entirely out yet, but gaming will be involved. And where there’s gaming, there’s probably terrain as well. So let’s make your gaming tables look as good as possible.

The first is the Core Worlds book, giving you all the information you need about the Commonality Core. The other is the Mindjammer Companion. This one takes you to the Outremer subsector, basically as far away as you can get from the core worlds. It’s all about the two extremes in these releases.

Assault Publishing Haiku Contest Happening Now

I deal with words all day. Mostly, it’s in the form of articles and rulebooks, but occasionally it’ll run into the more creative forms. Though I don’t end up dealing with poetry much, it does show up from time to time. If you’re good with syllables, then you might want to check out Assault Publishing’s Haiku Contest, going on now.

New Tyranid Codex And More Available To order From Games Workshop

One of my first armies back when I started playing miniatures games was a Tyranid force for 40k. They were still relatively new back in 2nd edition. They were just so cool and alien (and I’d not even seen Alien at the time). Well, for those that might want to get into the faction, there’s a new Tyranid Codex available to pre-order over on the Games Workshop site. They’ve also got bunches of other things, much of which would fit in today’s Terrain Corner. Also, bunches of paint sets.

Thursday Terrain Corner

It’s odd. Each day this week I’ve found myself, at some point, looking at the clock and going, “How is it only (time)?! Geeze! Today is taking forever!” And yet, in contradiction of that, I’ve also found myself going, “Whoah! It’s already (day)!? This week is flying by!” So while each day is taking forever, the week is just speeding past. I don’t really get it, but it does mean we’re already most of the way to the weekend. I’m in my Thursday shirt, and that means it’s time to make your gaming tables look as good as possible.
