Privateer Press Previews April Releases

No foolin’, Privateer Press is showing off some of their upcoming releases for April. Apparently, April is Dragon Month, as Cryx is getting all the love. If you’re wanting to expand your Satyxis-themed army, you’ll want to check out what’s in store.

Privateer Press Previews New Warmachine/Hordes Minis

Privateer Press is showing off some new Warmachine and Hordes releases. When checking them out, I suggest putting on some Creedence Clearwater Revival. Particularly Born on the Bayou, as most of the new figures are for the Blindwater Congregation. But there’s also a look at a new sculpt for a classic Skorne warlock, plus a fairly iconic and much-used Cryx warjack that’s getting a new mini.

Privateer Press Previews Black Ogrun Iron Mongers

Privateer Press has more of their March releases on preview. This time around, it’s the Black Ogrun Iron Mongers. They’re like fish mongers, but for iron… Ok, so that doesn’t really help. What they are, are the maintenance crews for Cryx. If you’re looking to keep your bonejacks and helljacks running around on the field a bit longer, you’ll probably want to check them out.

Privateer Press Previews March Releases

Not that I dislike winter, per-se (I am a polar bear, after all), but really, it’s Fall and then Spring that are my favorite seasons. So I know I’m looking forward to March. Privateer Press is also looking forward to March. They’ve got some previews of their March releases that I think you might want to check out.

Privateer Press Posts New Warmachine/Hordes Previews

Privateer Press has updated their homepage with quite an assortment of new previews. There’s some Retribution, there’s some Trollbloods, there’s some Cygnar, there’s some Circle… like I said, it’s a bit of everything. If you want to know what’ll be coming out soon, there’s apparently a lot, and chances are good your faction will be getting something.

New Warmachine and Hordes Releases Available From Privateer Press

The second wave of November releases is now available from Privateer Press. They’ve got still some more Cygnar releases. The Trolls are getting some more new figures. And to keep everyone warm, Menoth’s got a colossal release. So whether you’re more for the Warmachine or the Hordes side of things, there’s possibly something new for you.

First Wave of November Releases Available From Privateer Press

The first set of releases for the month are available now from Privateer Press. And it’s kind of a nice transition between the two themes. You’ve got Cygnar on one side and Trollkin on the other. Meeting in the middle is the Trencher Express Team, which is a Trollkin and a Trencher working together. Too bad it doesn’t work for the Trolls (to my knowledge. I doubt with the story of the kriels they’d let a human in, anyway. Probably just try and eat him).

Privateer Press Previews February Releases

February is for lovers… Though I’m not quite sure that the Deathjack, Hexeris, or Bog Trogs are really the way I’d personify love. Be that as it may, it’s the sign of love the Privateer Press is giving you, as they’re getting new versions in that month. Have yourself a look.

New Releases Available From Privateer Press

The latest releases are now available from Privateer Press. The Trenchers are getting themselves some further bulking up, with a couple of new sets. Cryx is getting a couple retooled jack kits. And then there’s Company of Iron. If you love Warmachine and Hordes, but want something a bit smaller in model count, you can now play skirmish-sized games using the models you’ve already got.

Privateer Press Announces Direct-Only-Sales System

Privateer Press has announced a new Direct-Only-Sales system called Black Anchor Heavy Industries. This new system allows them to create the really huge minis that many of us love (I love my Stormwall), but at a rate and price that’s a bit more manageable. Such huge figures will be available from Privateer directly, with a pre-order period where those that join in will get sweet extra perks, with the kits being for regular sale afterward. The first of the figures for the set will be the Dracodile.

Privateer Press Celebrates Gun Mage Day Sale

Sure, I know it says Gun Mage “Day” Sale, but those arcane sharpshooters aren’t satisfied with just one day. They’ve got the whole weekend. You can head over to the Privateer Press webshop and pick up various Gun Mage-related items all for a special price this weekend. Pewpewpew!

New Releases Available From Privateer Press

The Wicked Harvest has come to an end (for now) and it’s time for some of the classic armies for Warmachine and Hordes to get some new releases. In this case, it’s Cygnar that’s getting the bulk of the love. They’ve got a new version of a favorite warcaster, and some new characters, along with the Trencher Theme Army Box. The righteous Protectorate of Menoth is also getting a new figure, as is the Legion of Everblight, being the only Hordes release this month.

Privateer Press Previews New Hordes, Warmachine Releases

We’ve seen some renders of these fellas, but this time around, Privateer’s got some actual painted minis to look over. And as much as we like the look of renders, I think most of us can agree that painted minis are better. Anyway, there’s some Trollkin. There’s some Cygnar. There’s even an upcoming release with both in one.
Oh, and a Menoth Colossal thrown in.

Privateer Press Previews Cygnar Trencher Force Box Set

Part of Warmachine/Hordes is that players are encouraged to run theme forces. That is, an entire army based around a certain style of unit or a way of play. Sure, you can go totally “combined arms” with some mercenaries or minions thrown in, but usually you’ll be able to get a couple bonuses if you go particularly for one type of force. Well, they’re further helping that along by coming out with a Trencher Theme Force box set. And I’m sure if it goes over well, we can expect more like this in the future.

Privateer Press Previews December Releases

We are partway through September. Seems like a pretty good time to take a look at what is coming up for December. As much as I wish it’d stay Autumn forever, we all know that’s just not the case. But Privateer Press is letting us know what will be coming out from them when winter’s icy grip starts taking hold. There’s quite a lot to check out, actually. A little bit for many different factions.

Privateer Press Previews More November Releases

Winter is coming.
No, really. It’s just a couple months away. And while November isn’t actually wintertime yet, Privateer Press is getting some snow-themed items set up to release that month. The northern kriels are looking to add more muscle to the Trollkin’s armies. Meanwhile, Cygnar is digging in.

Privateer Press Previews Some November Releases For Warmachine

We’ve just stepped into September (you don’t have to wake me up when it ends. I’ll already be awake. I’ve got too much to do), but it’s not too early to be looking further into the year. November will be here before we know it (which includes my favorite holiday of the year). That means some new Warmachine releases will also be here before we know it. And we’ve got some preview pics to show for it.

Galleries From Day 1 At Gen Con 2017

It’s early dawn here at Gen Con Day 2. I… wish I could tell you what happened to Day 1. I swear it was just here a minute ago. At least, that’s how it feels. I can tell you that the hall is busy. But what would you expect from a show that’s sold out? Thursday already felt like a Saturday. So it’s anyone’s guess as to what the rest of the show will be like.

Anyway, over on the TGN Facebook page, I’ve been regularly updating with galleries from the show. Here’s what we had yesterday.

Privateer Press Previews October Releases for Warmachine

Hopefully you’re enjoying the Wicked Harvest releases for Hordes that just came out. I’m sure some of you have picked up the new faction. But what if you just want to fight against them? Well, there’s some new releases coming out for other factions as well, including the original creepers, Cryx… Though much of it is for Cygnar.
They will also be coming out with Company of Iron, their new skirmish-sized version of Warmachine and Hordes.

Privateer Press Announces MiniCrate Subscription Box

Lots of my friends do some form or another of subscription service. Whether it’s Blue Apron or Lootcrate or Graze or Comic Bento, every month they’re getting a mystery box of goods, often with exclusive or special-release items. Well, fans of Privateer Press can now get their own, specially-made box, as they have announced the launch of their own subscription box service called MiniCrate.

Latest Retribution Releases Available From Privateer Press

The second batch of releases for the month are now available over in the Privateer Press webshop, as well as an LGS near you (probably). This group is another batch of the elves, with some units, a solo, a warjack, and a new… well… old… new-old warcaster making an appearance.

Privateer Press Launches Warmachine and Hordes Cards Database

We’ve known that Privateer Press was going to go mostly-paperless with their games Warmachine and Hordes. This means you’ll have to get the cards online. But where? Well, in the new Card Database that they’ve launched, of course. It’s free to access and has every card for every mini there. It will be regularly updated, as necessary, whenever new changes to model’s stats or abilities are made.

Privateer Press Previews September Releases For Warmachine/Hordes

We’re just over halfway through June. It’s getting really hot outside. Personally, I’m looking forward to this fall. Why? That’s my secret. I’m always looking forward to fall. But I know a lot of other people are looking forward to this fall because the Grymkin are going to be making their way to tabletops in games of Warmachine and Hordes. Well, Privateer Press is showing off what’ll be coming out in the month of September, and I figured you’d like to take a peek.

New Retribution Releases Available For Warmachine

The elves in Western Immoren have had quite a time of it lately. Their gods had disappeared. Their kids were being born without souls. They had a vampire version of one of them trying to kill their last god. It as kind of a mess. Now, things are turning around a bit. They’re on the warpath and taking their own future into their hands. The new Command book for the faction is available for Warmachine, as well as several new units and a warcaster.

Privateer Press Announces Company of Iron Warmachine/Hordes Skirmish Game

I originally picked up Warmachine as a “quick, small, fast game to play when I didn’t want to play a ‘big game’ of 40k.” Not long afterward, Warmachine turned into a pretty big game, all its own. Well, Privateer Press is pulling back and coming out with Company of Iron, a new skirmish game based in the Warmachine/Hordes universe.

New Releases Available For Warmachine and Hordes

The next batch of releases for both Warmachine and Hordes are available both in the Privateer Press webshop and at an LGS near you (hopefully, anyway). There’s some biggest of the big and some rather small things coming out. I mean, one figure has part of a ship on his back. Others are just human solos. There’s also the latest issue of No Quarter magazine.

Privateer Press Posts New Warmachine Previews

We start off the day with a heaping helping of Warmachine. Privateer Press has posted up a bunch of new previews for Cryx and Khador. Plus a Cygnar preview sneaks its way in there (as much as a colossal can “sneak,” I suppose). Let’s take a look.

Privateer Press Previews June Releases

Not all of Privateer’s announcements lately have been received well. But, here’s one I think most people will have a positive take on. They’re showing off their June releases. If you’re a fan of elves (the techy kind, anyway), you’ll want to check out what’s in store.

Privateer Press Launches Community Integrated Development Program

When it comes to the games we love, we can be very protective of them. While every new release may give you some great, balanced, interesting new cards/models/dice for your game, there’s also the worry that a new set of releases will break the game. So, how does a company make sure that new releases are balanced? Playtesting, of course. But for playtesting to be effective, you need a large sample size of game situations to sift through. Privateer Press has decided that will be done through their Community Integrated Development Program, which has just launched.

Podcast Roundup

We’re back at Tuesday. And I’m back in the office. Though it’s also the first time I’ve been in the office. How does that work? Well, we’re finally set up in the new digs. Anyway, as everyone gets settled in we can put on a gaming podcast so we can hear about gaming while we’re unpacking gaming things.
