Comfy Chair Games have released the first three figures for their new Attack of the Cannibal Zombies game.

From their website:
Comfy Chair Games is proud to present the release of the first 3 Figures from our new game Attack of the Cannibal Zombies from Dimension X. “ACZDX” game. The rulebook is still in development, but you can get your hands on some Zombies now. Each model is between 45 and 50mm. These models will be web-sales only which is how we are able to keep the prices as low as they are in a time when many of our competitors are raising prices. Above we have asked Mr. Jingles to stand beside a Zombie for a size comparison, don’t worry the Zombie refused to bite Mr. Jingles because he says the Dirty Clown tastes funny.
ACZDX is a tongue in cheek horror game that pays heavy homage to the monster movies of the 1950’s while simultaneously giving a nod to some more recent films. What you end up with is a game filled with Dark Humor and twisted ideas. We hope you’ll enjoy this game as much as we enjoy creating it!

The future is a dark one as the dead have risen to feast upon the living. Cities have been shattered, neighbourhoods torn apart, and humanity is hanging on by a thread.

Studio Miniatures have posted an update on their planned release schedule.
From their announcement:
We will be uploading more minis soon with release dates and prices within the next 2 weeks but the plans are for any early November release date, plenty of time to get some for Christmas .
At the moment we can tell you that the zombies will be released in packs of 8 minis (all different), this will be the standard MOB SET. We are currently working on 6 Mob Sets.
You will then be able to buy 2 Mob Sets in a larger pack called a Horde Set. These will contain 2 consecutive Mob Sets ie Mob 1+2 = Horde 1 etc and will contain an Exclusive Mini only available in the Horde Sets. Each Horde Set will have a different exclusive mini.
Once we have the first couple of Mob Sets out we will start to release our Human Survivor minis, these will be individually blister packed unless they are part of a group pack.

Eureka Miniatures have released new 28mm 1980’s Soviet soldiers in NBC suits & Toxic Zombies.

From their website:
The new figures include troopers armed with Soviet LPO-50 flame-throwers – perfect for attacking undead enemies, as well as scaring the life out of living ones. With the intricate triple nozzles of the backpack all faithfully reproduced, the backpack comes as a separate piece to further enhance detail and accuracy. No Soviet range would be complete without the ubiquitous RPG-7 which we have included to give your Soviets some extra anti-armour punch, along with the Sagger wire-guided missile launcher which already forms part of the range. Kosta has also added two extra PRK light machine gunners and three more AK-47 armed troops to the existing range to provide gamers with even greater variation for their units. These figures accurately portray troops wearing the two-piece chemical warfare suits that were used by Soviet army units from the 1960’s all the way into the 1980’s, and are thus suitable for any real-world Cold War scenarios.

Ambush Alley Games have sent along details of an upcoming Ambush Alley zombie expansion.
From their announcement:
I thought I’d share a sneaky little peek at the cover of a new Ambush Alley rules expansion/scenario pack to be released later in September - with plenty of time to plan for spooky Halloween game nights.
Ambush Z will contain all the rules needed to pit your Ambush Alley regulars or armed civilian survivors against hordes of the shambling (or not so shambling) dead. Included will be descriptions of four types of zombies, from the brittle Odies to the cunning and semi-sentient Dexters, along with special rules for operating in zombie infested environments.
While the expansion will include a back-story, the rules have been left generic enough to allow players to easily adapt them to the recreation of their favorite zombie movies, books, or settings. More news later as the release date draws closer - in the meantime, stock up on food, water, and shotgun shells. Zombies are inbound!

Those lovely guys at Armorcast have kindly agreed to let us stock ‘Buster & Norville’ to go with our gang of meddling teenagers. As before the teenagers are available separately but now you have the option of adding the Great Dane or the guard or both and as is usual with HF bonus packs of course it works out cheaper the more you add. So go on, you just need to add the dog to the figures you have already bought to make the gang complete.

Hawgleg Publishing have announced the release of their new Deadwood range of undead coyboys and accessories in advance of a new horror/western ruleset.

From their website:
“We’ve had the miniatures ready to go for about a year now, and I think the graves have been ready even longer than that,” Mitchell revealed. “Our original plan was to hold these back and release everything with the rule book. But, after talking it over amongst ourselves, we’ve decided to just put it all out there right now.”
The miniatures pack includes four, unpainted 25mm undead cowboys and one “dead zombie” marker, for a total of five different figures. This pack will sell for $10 at the convention, or until supplies run out. Since these were cast before the recent increases in metal prices, the price will be slightly higher when they are recast in the future.

RAFM have posted a short preview of the additions that will be included in the full version of their USX rulebook.
From their website:
July will see the official release of the USX rulebook. Designed to compliment RAFM’s USX and Cthulhu range of figures the 32-page rulebook offers players a fun and fast game system.
Printed in full color the book fills in areas that were hinted at in the Basic set with rules for:
- Vehicles
Rules for vehicles enhance the game play of USX by making cars and trucks more than just terrain pieces to hide behind, although they are still great cover! Damage, speed and handling all play a part in how your vehicle performs with a skid table, collisions and Hollywood type explosions all covered.
- Armor
Armor is handled through a simple yet effective modifier system that can be applied to vehicles and special units within the game.
- Mythos creatures
RAFM’s Cthuhlu range of miniatures adds an element of horror to the game and allows players to face off against Mythos creatures. The use of a unique Horror check system compliments the Cthulhu element of the USX rules.
- Spells
You’ll need some extra juju to deal with those horrors from beyond so we have included a few basic spells to help the budding cultist or investigator.

Its that time again folks. Long-standing regular HF customers will know that HF run two ‘bonus’ times each year. One in July to celebrate mine and Megs birthdays and one at the beginning of December.
Usually our summer sale runs mid-July until the end of July but this year we have brought it forward for two reasons:
1: So that it doesn’t clash with the children’s summer holidays.
2: The production schedule is all over the place due to my illness and this will give me a bit of breathing space to try and get it back on schedule.
This means this year it will run from Tuesday 1st July until Monday 21st July.

While easy to learn, both books’ rules are also comprehensive and flexible, providing hours of entertainment.

From their announcement:
The sculpts are finished on our new range of Mutant Plants. These models are for the games Mutants and Death Ray Guns, although we’ve tried to address the general lack of monstrous plants on the market at the moment. They will work well for Venusian Death plants too, I’m sure.
Still in progress are a large plant, an exploding fruit bush and a humanoid plant armed with a choice of weapons. Here are some pictures of the “greens”(they are made form ProCreate so are actually grey.). The figures should be up for sale within a month.

Moonlight Miniatures have added two new skeletal pirates to their Moonlight 28’s range of pirate figures and accessories.

- Deadbeard, cursed skeletal buccaneer, 1 piece. $4.00
- Skuttlebone, skeletal gunner with musket, 1 piece. $3.50
From their website:
Ahoy thar! Me skellies were feeling a bit neglected. So here be a couple of fresh recruits for your skeletal crews. First aboard is none other than Deadbeard himself (28051). He springs from the artistic mind of Melvin de Voor, who provided the concept work. With two cutlasses and a bad attitude, he’s sure to carve a place for himself in the crew. Next aboard is a lad by the name of Skuttlebone (28052). He’s a gunner by trade and a darn good one to boot, but earns his keep with with his trusty musket. These miniatures be cast in the heroic scale of 28 like all of their brethren in the 28s line. Also added a couple of painted pixs on the Hobby page.
