Hit Point Press Acquires Badge Quest RPG from DM Dave

Hit Point Press has acquired the Badge Quest RPG intellectual property from its original creator, Dave “DMDave” Hamrick. The game, which raised over $140,000 on Kickstarter in 2023, follows players as members of the Brave Blossoms, a girls’ youth group solving mysteries and confronting monsters.

The acquisition enables Hit Point Press to take over the project’s development, aiming to complete and release the game under its creative direction. To acknowledge original backers, Hit Point Press has stated it will provide gifts equivalent in value to each backer’s pledge, including Backerkit pre-orders, at no additional cost.

Hamrick expressed support for the acquisition, noting Hit Point Press’s commitment to detail and quality in its work.

Hit Point Press has yet to set a release date for Badge Quest.
