The Encyclopedia Cthulhiana Returns – Chaosium’s Definitive Mythos Guide Hits in October
Chaosium is releasing a new fourth edition of The Encyclopedia Cthulhiana this October, bringing the definitive guide to Lovecraftian horror back to shelves in full-color hardback format.
First published in 1994 and updated several times since, the book compiles detailed entries on mythos deities, creatures, tomes, and artifacts—from Azathoth to Zylac—tracing their appearances across fiction and pop culture. This new edition features updated text, evocative interior art, and a cover by John Sumrow, along with a fresh essay from author Dan Harms on the question “What is the Cthulhu Mythos?” Timelines of the Necronomicon, a cosmic horror bibliography, and illustrations of Nyarlathotep, Hastur, and Cthulhu himself round out the package.
The Encyclopedia Cthulhiana releases October 28—just in time to send a shiver down your spine before Halloween.
